ChessWorlds: Overpowered
Overpowered is a ChessWorlds spinoff that uses the same engine, but is a completely new game about balancing your army against the enemy and designing new pieces with codeblocks.
This entry is part of the Can you make a new chess game? game jam, and is currently w.i.p.
Week 1: making the basic prototype of placing pieces and the tutorial.
WARNING: The game is very w.i.p, as its currently in a game jam and im only posting it to show progress.
Tips: You are supposed to place your king (main piece) or other "bought" pieces in your Place zones, and in the design zones you can place newly created pieces.
When starting a battle, you place pieces and the scores of your army should be similar to the score of the enemy army. Furthermore, if you position your army in a position that advantages you, the Judges will detect that you are too well-positioned, so it's basically a back-and-forth until you find a "balanced" starting point, from which you start the game. After that, if you win, the Judges will compute how well-balanced was the fight, and award you gold, with which you can buy or create new pieces.

So the game is alright, and I like the concept of using code to play chest. Yet the game is confusing and the tutorial is also a bit confusing. Do you have any tips on how to play the game?
I added a tip now for the game, the tutorial takes you trough the main motions of playing. I'm sorry for the current state of the game, I realize it's not very intuitive, which is why I'm currently pivoting to something more gradual, I will post a better version next week. Let me know if you have more questions.
