ChessWorlds: Grandmaker
Overpowered is a ChessWorlds spinoff that uses the same engine, but is a completely new game about balancing your army against the enemy and designing new pieces with codeblocks.
This entry is part of the Can you make a new chess game? game jam, and is currently w.i.p.
Week 1: making the basic prototype of placing pieces and the tutorial.
Week 2: pivoted to using a story-tutorial-format, teaching players how to design from the basics to the complex stuff.
Week 3: bug fixes
WARNING: The game is very w.i.p, as its currently in a game jam and im only posting it to show progress.

What a cool concept! Combining Scratch logic with custom chess piece design is brilliant.
Super excited to see any update for this game.
Thanks, im thinking of adding a better story with some actual plot development, and maybe adding chess pieces from the chinese chess or other variants. Thank you for your comment!
So the game is alright, and I like the concept of using code to play chest. Yet the game is confusing and the tutorial is also a bit confusing. Do you have any tips on how to play the game?
I added a tip now for the game, the tutorial takes you trough the main motions of playing. I'm sorry for the current state of the game, I realize it's not very intuitive, which is why I'm currently pivoting to something more gradual, I will post a better version next week. Let me know if you have more questions.
Hey so I updated the game with better tutorials, if you want please tell me if these work and if they are explained well.
They do work and are explained well.
Thank youu
